The Society of Women Engineers is the largest non-profit educational and service organization representing both student and professional women in engineering and technical fields.

Welcome to our Northwest Florida SWE webpage!

As of July a new board has been elected and is very excited to charge into the new year. We have many exciting events planned for students and for our professional members. There will be many opportunities to volunteer to help with one event or even become a SWE leader and become part of our outreach, fundraising, membership or scholarship committees. We do not pressure people to volunteer, and truly just enjoy seeing people have fun at our events.

Exciting opportunities and activities for the upcoming year include:

  • Oct 13-15 WE'11 SWE National Conference in Chicago, Illinois.

  • Oct 29 Section meeting at noon at Juana's in Navarre. Please RSVP to our section president at (850) 428-2016.

  • Mar 2-4 Region D Conference in Charleston, SC.

  • I Love Science--hands-on experiments for fifth grade classes at Lewis Middle School just outside the Eglin Air Force Base (see Community Outreach). We will be exploring opportunities for this in Pensacola also. Please contact our section president if you would like to participate.

We really are focusing on encouraging students to get excited about careers in math and science! Please contact us if you would like to participate in any of these events.

We've updated the FY11 Section Officers but we still have open positions.  We'd love to have you participate!
